  22. WinNT is o.k, but do you really need 16 meg just to run an OS? The Amiga OS
  23. 3.1 runs faster on a 68030 at 28mhz than Windoze 95 on a P100...

  30. I think he meant a WIMP system (i.e, GUI based).  The fact that more people
  31. using the PC have to get a UNIX clone to have a half way decent O/S than on
  32. the Amiga shows how good the o/s is.  I mean, if the PC had a decent O/S in
  33. the first place, why would people need to write all the stuff like OS/2,
  34. WinNT, and all the other "replacement" OSs?

  51. no, what he meant was: we have decent Shareware, the commercial software it up
  52. to equal stardard with the interesting stuff (i.e 3d rendering, image
  53. processing), and below with the dull stuff.  Many PC owners miss the point of
  54. the Amiga, it is not a machine on which to run M$ software clones, it is to
  55. have _fun_, something you will never do on a PC unless you are playing a
  56. game...
