- WinNT is o.k, but do you really need 16 meg just to run an OS? The Amiga OS
- 3.1 runs faster on a 68030 at 28mhz than Windoze 95 on a P100...

- I think he meant a WIMP system (i.e, GUI based). The fact that more people
- using the PC have to get a UNIX clone to have a half way decent O/S than on
- the Amiga shows how good the o/s is. I mean, if the PC had a decent O/S in
- the first place, why would people need to write all the stuff like OS/2,
- WinNT, and all the other "replacement" OSs?

- Yeah, but then you are saddeled with windoze or warp :) WB3.1 should impress
- you when it comes out on a PC... (try doing a search for Amiga under
- www.yahoo.com)

-
- no, what he meant was: we have decent Shareware, the commercial software it up
- to equal stardard with the interesting stuff (i.e 3d rendering, image
- processing), and below with the dull stuff. Many PC owners miss the point of
- the Amiga, it is not a machine on which to run M$ software clones, it is to
- have _fun_, something you will never do on a PC unless you are playing a
- game...
